Professor Yiyu Cai is a tenured faculty in charge of the Computer-aided Engineering (CAE) Labs at NTU. He directs The Strategic Research Program of Virtual Reality. He is a cluster director with The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N). He is principal investigator with The International Super Lab BeingTogether Center Jointly set up by Institute for Media Innovation at NTU and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also the principal investigator with the newly established Surbana Jurong Corp Lab @ NTU. His research is supported by Temasek Trust Funded Singapore Millennium Foundation, National Research Foundation, etc. He has six international patents approved, and near 200 papers published in peer reviewed international conferences and journals such as IEEE Trans on Industrial Informatics，IEEE Trans on Robotics. He has been keynote or invited speakers with numerous conferences in over 20 countries.
