Dr. Nicolas Argibay

Biography: Dr. Nicolas Argibay is a member of the technical staff in the Material, Physical and Chemical Sciences Center at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He earned a Ph.D. at the University of Florida in 2011 and joined the research staff at Sandia in 2013. He has more than 37 publications in peer-reviewed journals (h-index of 14) and 5 patents, based on research focused primarily in the field of tribology. His work spans the range from fundamental to applied research, including the development of novel nanostructured materials, predictive friction models, and system-level solutions for aerospace and wind power.
