Dr. Michael Chandross

Biography: Michael Chandross received a B.S. in Physics with Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1990, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Arizona in 1996. After postdoctoral positions at SPAWAR Systems Center in San Diego, CA and Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, he joined the staff of Sandia in 2001, where he uses large-scale molecular dynamics simulations to understand and predict the aging and reliability of materials. He has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals, is a fellow of the American Physical Society, and serves on the editorial boards of Lubrication Science andTribology: Materials Surfaces and Interfaces.
