Prof. Bin Niu

Biography: Bin Niu is a professor in mechanical engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China. He received his B.E. degree and Ph.D. degree in engineering mechanics from Dalian University of Technology in 2004 and 2010, respectively. Then, he spent three years from 2010 to 2013 as a postdoctoral researcher in mechanical engineering at Aalborg University, Denmark. He has received two NSFC grants as the main applicant, and several NSFC grants as the co-applicant. His research interests include structural topology optimization, mechanical vibration, design and manufacturing of composite structures.
