Biography: Dr. Sheng Guo is currently working as a Professor and PhD candidate supervisor in Robot Research center, School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University, China. He received PhD degree in School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2005. From 2005-2007, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Beijing Jiaotong University, and also went to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2006. From 2010 to 2011, he was a visiting scholar in University of California, Irvine, US. His main research interests include spatial mechanism design, parallel robot, research and development of automation equipment and medical rehabilitation robot and smart prostheses. Dr. Guo has published over 62 SCI/EI Journals and 2 monographs, hosted over 15 national & provincial fund projects and participated in 6 projects in the field of parallel robot, rehabilitation robot and development of automation equipment. As well, he hosted 4 enterprise research projects and joined 1 projects in development of automation equipment and robot system. Besides, he has completed 2 enterprise transformation projects. Dr. Guo is an associate editor in International Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, an associate editor International Journal of Robotics Applications, a senior fellow in Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. Dr. Guo awarded New Century Excellent Talents by Ministryof Education of China in 2012.
