Prof. Sean B. Andersson

Biography: Sean B. Andersson received a B.S. degree in engineering and applied physics from Cornell University in 1994, an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in 1995, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003. He has worked at AlliedSignal Aerospace and Aerovironment, Inc. and is currently a Professor of mechanical engineering and of systems engineering with Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is the Director of the Masters of Science in Robotics and Autonomous Systems program at Boston University. Prof. Andersson's research interests include systems and control theory with applications in scanning probe microscopy, dynamics in molecular systems, and robotics.
