Assoc. Prof. Bo Li

Biography: Li Bo received the B.Eng. degree in instrumental science and technology, from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in instrumental science and engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2012. He is now an associate professor in the school of mechanical engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. His main research interests are electroactive polymers-based bionic actuators for soft robots. He has published more than 40 papers as the first author + corresponding author, with more than 1100 citations and an H factor of 25. Some of the publications were selected as the cover article of AEM, SOFT MATTER, SOFT SCIENCE, Wiley hot topic article, PRE kaleidoscope recommended article, etc. He is currently the associate editor of IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON AUTOMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING and the editor of IFToMM Mechanical Sciences Special Issue. He is the chairman of the 6th Conference of Soft Robotics in China, and a member of the China Committee of the International Federation of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). He won the second prize of the "World Robotics Competition-Robot Challenge" in 2021.
